Alex Smith was a defender or midfielder formerly of Fulham, who usually operated on the left or in a central midfield role. Having been at the club since the age of 10, Smith signed professionally in the summer of 2009. He made his long-awaited debut on 15 September 2012, coming on for Damien Duff in injury time against West Bromwich Albion. Unfortunately for Alex, this turned out to be his only first team appearance at the club as he was released at the end of the season and moved to Swindon Town.
