Armando Broja played for Fulham, on loan from Chelsea during the 2023-24 season as a striker. Signed in the 2024 January transfer window, he represents Albania at international level.

Career

Before Fulham

Armando was born in Slough, Berkshire, and played for Burnham Juniors as a child before a two-year spell with Tottenham Hotspur's academy. In 2009, he moved to Chelsea's academy and signed a scholarship deal with the club in 2017.

After signing his first professional deal with the club in 2020, he spent a season on loan with Chelsea affiliate club Vitesse. A successful season which saw Armando score ten league goals paved the way for another season-long loan with Premier League side Southampton. Here, he was praised for his all-round play and managed six goals before returning to his parent club.

Armando moved into Chelsea's first team set-up from 2022-23, although he found minutes harder to come by, managing just one league goal for the team; this was in part due to a knee injury sustained in December 2022 that kept him out for the rest of the season.

Spending the first half of 2023-24 back in Chelsea's first team, he scored just one league goal - coincedentally against Fulham, before his loan move.

Fulham (2024)

Armando signed for Fulham on 1 February 2024 on a loan deal that wouold run until the end of the 2023-24 season. The deal included a £750,000 fee up front, which would rise to £4 million the less he played.

He made his debut for the club two days later as a second half substitute during a 2-2 draw away at Burnley. Unfortunately for Armando, fellow striker Rodrigo Muniz had begun a run of scoring just at the time he arrived, and it was impossible for manager Marco Silva to put him into the starting XI.
