Aston Villa F.C. is a football club who are based in Aston, Birmingham. Fulham have been opponents of theirs as far back as 1905, when they first met in the FA Cup, whereby Villa won easily by 5 goals to 0, still Fulham's largest defeat to date against them.

Notable matches include the high-scoring 6-3 loss at Craven Cottage in 1965, followed by two matches in 1966 where Fulham scored five in both a 5-2 away win and a 5-1 home win. A 3-3 thriller in December 2005 saw Villa come from behind three times to earn a point at Craven Cottage.

The most memorable match to date between the two clubs was undoubtedly the 2018 Play-off Final win at Wembley - the first time Fulham had returned to the stadium since their FA Cup Final loss in 1975, and therefore their first victory at the ground.

Most notable of these is Eddie Lowe, who made an incredible 511 league appearances for Fulham after beginning his career with Aston Villa. Others include Bert Kingaby (notable for bringing legal preceedings against Aston Villa for preventing him playing under the 'retain-and-transfer system' that had been introduced in 1893), Stan Horne who begun his professional career at Aston Villa became the first black player to play for Fulham in 1968, and Aaron Hughes, a Northern Irish international who made over 200 appearances for the Whites.
