Carlos Vinícius played for Fulham as a striker from 2022 until 2025. A tall target man who had previously played briefly in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur, he signed under Marco Silva on deadline day at the start of the 2022-23 season. He notably scored the winning goal in a 2-1 win over rivals Chelsea in January 2023, to end the clubs' 17 year winless run against them.

Career[]

Before Fulham[]

Fulham (2022-2025)[]

Carlos signed for Fulham for a fee reported to be £4.3 million from Benfica on 1 September 2022; transfer deadline day. He made his debut two days later against his former club, away at Tottenham Hotspur in a 2-1 defeat as he came off the bench for the last five minutes.

After several oppertunities off the bench and as a starter, he was experiencing slight criticism from the Fulham fans after not scoring in eleven appearances. He scored his first Fulham goal with a headed winner during the 2-1 win over neighbours Chelsea in the West London derby on 12 January 2023 - the first victory against them in nearly 17 years.

When starting striker Aleksandar Mitrović was handed an 8-match ban for pushing the referee in the 3-1 loss in the FA Cup quarter-final to Manchester United in March 2023, this paved the way for Carlos to become to main striker in the team. He grew in confidence and his performances drastically improved - goals followed in a 2-1 loss to Manchester City and a 5-3 win over Leicester City during the tailend of 2022-23.

He was later pushed down the pecking order in 2023-24, when new signing Raúl Jiménez and Rodrigo Muniz were chosen as the two main strikers in the side by Marco Silva, and on 2 February 2024, he was sent on loan to Galatasaray for the remainder of the season.

He was due to return to Brazil and sign for Red Bull Bragantino at the end of the 2024 summer transfer window, but Fulham pulled the plug on the deal at the last minute, due to allowing young forward Jay Stansfield to join Birmingham City late on deadline day. Carlos had not been given a squad number as a result of his planned transfer, and thus when he remained as a squad player, his former number of 30 had been taken by the returning Ryan Sessegnon. He took up the number 12 shirt instead for the 2024-25 season.

After making only four substitute appearances all season, Carlos was one of the players released in the summer of 2025.
