Chris Donnell played for Fulham from 2023 until 2025 as a midfielder. Born in Glasgow, he moved to Australia at an early age and represents them at international level. He was signed from Perth Glory in the 2023 summer transfer window.

Career

Before Fulham

Chris was born in Glasgow before his family moved to Australia when he was at a young age. He played for Rockingham City as a child before signing for Perth Glory's academy. He spent a number of years working his way through the age groups before he made his first team debut in 2021. He managed a total of four league appearances and two cup appearances with the first team before his move to England.

Fulham (2023-2025)

Fulham announced Chris' signing on 6 July 2023 for an undisclosed fee on an initial one-year deal, and he joined up with the U21 squad.

After an impressive start to his Fulham career, he scored a nine-minute hat-trick during a 8-0 thrashing over Burnley U21 in the Premier League Cup on 10 November 2023, after being introduced as a second half substitute.

On 1 February 2024, Chris was sent out on loan for the remainder of 2023-24 to Scottish Championship side Airdrieonians where he made 12 league appearances. In August 2024, he signed a further one-year deal with the club.

Despite some promising performances for the U21 squad during his time at Fulham, Chris was one of thirteen players released from the club in the summer of 2025

After Fulham

After a potential move to Stockport County had failed to materialise in the summer of his release, Chris returned to Australia to train, and ultimately signed for semi-professional club Sydney Olympic on 2 October 2025.
