David Button was a goalkeeper who played for Fulham from 2016 until 2018. He was signed by Slaviša Jokanović in July 2016 from Brentford for around £1.5 million and played a part in the 2016-17 season promotion push before being ousted by Marcus Bettinelli, and left the club in July 2018 to join Brighton.

Career[]

Before Fulham[]

Fulham (2016-2018)[]

David signed for Fulham on 19 July 2016 for around £1.5 million from neighbours Brentford. He made his debut in the league opener of 2016-17 and kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win over favourites Newcastle United.

He spent the majority of his debut season as the first choice keeper, until April 2017 when he was dropped for Marcus Bettinelli after several goalkeeping blunders. However, he regained his place in goal the following season but once again lost his place to Bettinelli before Christmas, and failed to regain his spot.

After Fulham were promoted for the 2018-19 season, David was sold to Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer of 2018.
