Elijah Adebayo played at Fulham from 2006 until 2019 for the academy. At a towering 6ft 3, Elijah started out life as a striker before his Fulham coaches converted him to a central defender. He broke into the U18 squad whilst still an U16 player in the 2013-14 season. He was converted back into a striker once again during the 2015-16 season.
Elijah joined the club in 2007 and joined up with the Under-9 squad. He has progressed through all the age groups to the U23 squad in 2016-17.
He was part of the Dallas Cup squad which were runners-up in 2016, during which he scored a late winner in a 2-1 victory against the United States U20 team.
His first taste of first team football was handed to him as he was sent on loan to Slough Town, initially for one month on 27 October 2016. Only a few days later he had a debut to remember as he scored a hat-trick for the non-League side in an FA Trophy qualifying match against Bognor Regis. After an extension to the new year, he joined Bognor Regis on loan in January 2017.
He began 2017-18 strongly, scoring several goals for the U23 squad, before his first taste of the Football League came with a loan to League Two side Cheltenham Town in January 2018.
Another loan followed in 2018-19, this time to Swindon Town before he was released the following summer having not made a first team appearance for the Whites.
After Fulham[]
Elijah joined Walsall on a free transfer following his release from Fulham in July 2019. Following on from good form in the 2020-21 season where he scored ten league goals in the first half of the campaign, he was signed by Championship side Luton Town on deadline day in the January 2021 transfer window.
