George Taylor was an early Fulham player who was at the club from 1896 until 1899. A goalkeeper, he made his one and only competitive first team appearance in a London League Division Two match away to Brentford, where he conceded six goals and was to spend the rest of his time at the club with the reserves.

Career[]

Before Fulham[]

George played for Leytonstone before moving to Fulham.

Fulham (1896-1899)[]

George signed for Fulham before the 1896-97 season, initially as one of the back-ups to early club legend Johnny May. However, he was handed his first, and unfortunatley last, taste of first team action early in the season. He was selected to play in the club's League opener away at Brentford. However, it ended in a 6-1 victory for the hosts and Johnny May resumed his regular spot thereafter.

George spent the rest of his time at the club with either the reserves or the 3rd XI until his last season with the club in 1898-99.

After Fulham[]

Nothing is known about George's time after Fulham.
