Idris Odutayo played for Fulham's academy from 2012 until 2024 as a defender. He was capable of playing in either the centre of defence or at left back.

Career

Fulham (2012-2024)

Idris made his debut for the U18 squad in November 2018 shortly after his 16th birthday as he came on as a substitute during a 4-0 defeat away at Arsenal U18.

He signed a scholarship deal with the club on 1 July 2019, progressing his way through to the U23 squad in 2021-22. In July 2022, Idris was given the opportunity to spend pre-season with the first team, travelling with them to Portugal. He gave an impressive account of himself along with fellow academy defender Connor McAvoy in a 2-0 win over Nice, starting and playing the first 45 minutes.

The following month, Idris was sent out on loan to National League side Maidenhead United to gain first team experience and spent the entirety of 2022-23 with them.

After returning to Fulham, Idris spent time with the first team squad in pre-season of 2023, and travelled with them to the United States. He came off the bench and played out the last few minutes in two of the three matches - the first, a 3-2 win over Brentford and the second, a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa.

Idris signed a deal with National League side Bromley on 1 February 2024 for an undisclosed fee.
