Career[]
Before Fulham[]
Born in Madrid, Jorge joined Alcorcón's youth setup in 2015, making his professional debut two years later at the age of 17; becmoing the youngest player to debut for them at the time.
On 18 July 2017, Jorge signed for Spanish giants Barcelona, signing a two-year contract for their B team for a fee of €400,000. He only managed a handful of appearances in his first season, which ended in relegation to the third tier. The following season he was used more regularly, and even made one appearance for the first team in the Copa del Rey on 31 August 2018 against Cultural Leonesa.
On 22 September 2020, Jorge moved on to Villarreal, in a deal worth €4 million including add-ons. Barcelona also retained 20% over a future sale (which would end up being his move to Fulham four years later). He was immediately loaned to Almería of the Segunda División for the season. Here, he scored three goals in thirty-seven appearances which earned his another loan move the following season, this time to La Liga side Getafe.
At Getafe, he made thirty-two league appearances and had performed well enough to be included in Villarreal manager Unai Emery's plans ahead of the 2022-23 season. Despite only managed ten league appearances, he featured heavily in their Europa League & latterly Conference League matches. He became more of a starter at centre back the following season, in a season where he was play under four different managers.
Fulham (2024-present)[]
Jorge signed for Fulham on 3 August 2024, for a reported fee of £6.7 million on a four-year contract that would run until the summer of 2028. His debut came on 27 August 2024 in the second round of the EFL Cup, a 2-0 win at Birmingham City in which he helped keep a clean sheet.
His first league appearance came as a late substitute in a 1-1 draw away at Everton on 26 October 2024. His first start in the league came on 14 December, when he played the full 90 minutes away to Liverpool in an impressive 2-2 draw.
