Mahamadou Diarra was a defensive midfielder at Fulham who had two spells at the club (2012-2013 and 2014). He represented Mali on 71 occasions, and at one stage, cost Spanish giants Real Madrid £22 million when he was signed from Lyon in 2006.

Career

Fulham (2012-2013 & 2014)

Mahamadou was signed as a free agent on 26 February 2012 and made his debut days later in a 5-0 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

His first spell at Fulham was plagued with injuries, and after not earning a new contract in the summer of 2013, he remained at the club until the winter in a bid to prove his fitness and earn another contract. He eventually earned a new contract in March 2014 under Felix Magath and participated in four league matches to help bolster the midfield.

He was released at the end of the 2013-14 season.

After Fulham

Mahamadou never signed for another club after he left Fulham, however, he did train with Brentford during the 2016-17 season and made an appearance for their 'B' team on 20 September 2016.
