Mark Fotheringham was a midfielder at Fulham from 2014 until 2015. He was known for a journeyman career, and had represented Celtic, Dundee, Freiburg and Norwich among his 10 previous clubs. In his earlier years, he represented Scotland at U21 level on three occasions. A signing by Felix Magath that was considered by many to be an odd one, Mark did not have the best of times at Craven Cottage and his contract was terminated by mutual consent in January 2015 by Kit Symons.

Career[]

Before Fulham[]

Fulham (2014-2015)[]

After spending the whole of pre-season on trial at the club, Mark's signing was officially confirmed on 8 August 2014 on the eve of Fulham's first league match of the season, penning a one-year deal. A day later, he was included in the match day squad as Fulham lost to Ipswich, though did not get on the field. He made his debut 11 days later as he started in a 1-0 defeat at home to Wolves. After two more appearances handed to him by Felix Magath, Mark would never feature again in the first team after Magath's sacking on 18 September 2014. New manager Kit Symons did not see Mark as part of his plans and he only made the odd appearance in the U21 squad thereafter.

He was featured on the substitutes bench, however, in the FA Cup replay away to Wolves in January 2015, though did not make it onto the field.

His contract was terminated by mutual consent on 30 January 2015.

After Fulham[]

Mark finished his career with short stints at Scottish players at Fulham F.C.Scottish clubs Livingston and Cowdenbeath before retiring from playing in 2019.
