Martial Godo played for Fulham from 2022 until 2025. Initially on trial from Margate in February 2022, he signed permanently the following month and made a handful of first team appearances over the following seasons. He represents Ivory Coast internationally, making his debut for their U23 squad in 2025.
Martial played for Dartford but was dual registered with Margate, breaking into their first team in the 2021-22 season, with his creative and goalscoring exploits leading him to a Fulham trial in February 2022.
Fulham (2022-2025)[]
Martial, initially on trial, made his debut for the U23 squad on 10 February 2022, starting and scoring in a 2-1 win away to Stoke City U23 in a Premier League Cup Group match. He followed this up with another goal just four days later in the same competition, this time a 3-1 victory over Colchester United U23.
After a successful trial, he signed permanently for the club on 9 March 2022. He made his first team debut on 23 August 2022, coming on for the second half in a 2-0 loss at Crawley Town in the second round of the EFL Cup.
After an impressive run of form for the U21 squad at the start of 2023-24, Martial earned himself a season-long loan move to League One side Wigan Athletic on 1 September 2023. After a strong season with the Latics, he returned to Fulham in the summer of 2024 and trained with the first team throughout the 2024-25 season. After another EFL Cup appearance against Preston North End, he made his Premier League debut on 22 December 2024 when he came on as a second half substitute in a 0-0 draw against Southampton at Craven Cottage.
After Fulham[]
Martial was deemed surplus to requirements by Marco Silva, and was sold to Ligue 1 side Strasbourg for £6 million on 1 September 2025 (transfer deadline day) on a five-year deal.
