To date, Fulham have played Liverpool competitively 80 times (won 14, drew 21, lost 45). 65 of these were league matches, 11 were in the EFL Cup and 4 were in the FA Cup.
The first meeting between the the two sides came in 1912 in an FA Cup tie which Fulham won 3-0 - still to this day their biggest win over Liverpool.
Fulham had to wait until 1949 before they met Liverpool in a league fixture, when they were promoted to Division One the previous season. Up to that point, there had been 4 meetings in the FA Cup - the first of these ties being the highest victory achieved over Liverpool, as Fulham ran out 3-0 victors.
Liverpool managed to put 10 goals past a sorry Fulham team without reply in a 1986 League Cup leg at Anfield, to date this is the Reds' largest victory over any opponent in their history.
Fulham have an abysmal away record in this fixture; no victories were achieved at Anfield until their 1-0 win in the 2011-12 season, exactly 100 years since they first met. A second win at Anfield came on 7 March 2021, when relegation-threatened Fulham beat the reigning Premier League champions by a goal to nil once more. 17 months later they kicked off the 2022-23 season with an impressive 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage.
Liverpool were Fulham's EFL Cup Semi-final opponents in the 2023-24 season, but failed to get past them over a two-legged tie.
