Maxime Le Marchand played for Fulham from 2018 until 2021. A defender capable of playing left back or centre back, he joined alongside his former Nice teammate Jean Michaël Seri in the summer of 2018 upon the clubs return to the Premier League.
Maxime joined on 12 July 2018, alongside Nice teammate Jean Seri for a combined total of around £30 million - Maxime's fee thought to be in the region of £3.5 million. He struggled to impress with his time at the club, and although he made 26 League appearances in his debut season in the Premier League, it was not enough to prevent the Whites from immediate relegation back to the Championship.
Maxime would be used sparingly for the next two seasons, mainly as a substitute under Scott Parker in 2019-20 to shore things up at the back in the late stages when in front. He made a further two Premier League appearances in 2020-21, although was loaned out shortly afterwards to Royal Antwerp in Belgium for the second half of the season.
In the summer of 2021, after being deemed surplus to requirements by new manager Marco Silva, he departed at the beginning of the 2021-22 season.
After Fulham[]
Maxime signed for Strasbourg on 27 August 2021 on a free transfer. He played there for two seasons, until he retired from playing due to a reccuring back injury.
