Nathaniel Chalobah played for Fulham as a central midfielder from 2021 until 2023. He was signed on transfer deadline day in the early hours of 1 September 2021 on a free transfer from Watford and has represented England through all the age groups before earning a single cap for the full national team in 2018.

Career

Fulham (2021-2023)

Nathaniel was signed on transfer deadline day in the 2021 summer transfer window on a free transfer from Watford. He was joined the same night by his Watford teammate Domingos Quina , albeit on a loan deal. He made his debut starting in a 4-1 win away at Birmingham City, where he won a penalty and registered an assist.

He never found himself as a player who Marco Silva chose for the starting XI, and made mostly substitute appearances throughout his first season with the club, totalling 22 appearances in both league and cup. Again, he was mainly on the bench for the 2022-23 season, being kept out by Harrison Reed and new signing João Palhinha.

On 1 October 2022, handed a start against Newcastle United due to Palhinha's suspension, Nathaniel was given a straight red card following a VAR review of a poor challenge after just 8 minutes, which led to a 4-1 defeat. In essence, this marked the end of his Fulham career and after only a few extra sub appearances, he was allowed to leave in the January 2023 transfer window.

After Fulham

Late on deadline day, 31 January 2023, Nathaniel joined West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee. He remained there for a year-and-a-half, before switching to Sheffield Wednesday in the 2024 summer transfer window.
