Omri Altman played in Fulham's academy from 2011 until 2013. An attack-minded player, he could play anywhere in the front line but was most suited as a number 10, playing just behind the centre forward. He represented his native Israel through all age groups up to U21 level, and was the first Israeli player to have played at the club.
Career[]
Before Fulham[]
Omri grew up in the Tel Aviv region of Israel, and joined Maccabi Tel Aviv aged 9, progressing through their academy.
Fulham (2011-2013)[]
Fulham, along with a few other clubs around Europe had began enquiring about Omri in early 2011, and an agreement was met in March of that year for him to join the club. Initially this was supposed to be a loan deal but later a permanent deal was agreed, and he signed a two year scholarship deal on 1 July 2011.
Joining up with the U18 squad, he helped the team win the U18 Premier League national title in 2011-12 before being promoted to the U21 squad the following season.
On 27 June 2013, Omri moved back to Maccabi Tel Aviv on a season-long loan deal, though this was soon to be made permanent just a few months in.
After Fulham[]
Omri moved back home to Maccabi Tel Aviv, signing a permanent deal with them once more in October 2013. After struggling to force his way into their first team and only making a smattering of apperances, he was sent on loan to Hapoel Tel Aviv for the 2014-15 season where he was a success. They then swiftly snapped him up permanently on a five-year deal in 2015.
He made the move over to Greece in 2017, playing for Panathanaikos for two years before returning once again to Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he spent another two years. From here, he joined newly-promoted Portuguese side Arouca in the Primeira Division in 2021.
