Richard Stearman was a defender who played for Fulham from 2015 until 2017. A centre back, Richard joined on deadline day in September 2015 after seven years as a Wolves player and played only one full season with the Whites before being loaned out and eventually sold in July 2017.

Career

Fulham (2015-2017)

After much speculation, Richard signed for the club on deadline day 1 September 2015 for a fee thought to be in the region of around £2 million. After beginning his Fulham career as a first choice centre back under Kit Symons, he found game time hard to come by under the following manager Slaviša Jokanović half way though the season. He was given a chance to shine when filling in for Fernando Amorebieta in a 2-0 loss at home to Middlesbrough in February 2016, though he was given a straight red card for a poor challenge late in the second half.

He spent 2016-17 on loan to former club Wolverhampton Wanderers before being sold for just under £1 million to newly-promoted Sheffield United in the summer of 2017.
