Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a central midfielder who played for Fulham on loan from Chelsea in the 2020-21 season. Also capable of playing a more advanced role, he represented England at full international level, including being part of the squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Career

Fulham (2020-2021)

Ruben's signature was confirmed in the early hours of 6 October 2020 after deadline day, on loan from Chelsea for the 2020-21 season. He made his debut a fortnight later in a 1-1 draw away at Sheffield United.

His first goal for the club came off the bench on 22 November 2020, during a 3-2 loss to Everton at Craven Cottage.

His season at the club was widely regarded by the majority of fans as hugely disappointing for a player of his supposed calibre. With only one deflected goal and no assists to his name whatsoever, he failed to make any sort of impact whilst with Fulham as the club were once again relegated to the Championship.

After Fulham

Ruben returned to his parent club Chelsea shortly after the 2020-21 season had concluded.
