Saša Lukić is a central midfielder currently playing for Fulham. Signed in the January 2023 transfer window from Torino for close to £9 million, he is a Serbian international.
Career[]
Before Fulham[]
Saša started playing football at POFK Savacium, a football school in Šabac, before joining Partizan as a trainee in August 2009. Shortly after signing his first professional contract in August 2013, he was sent out on loan to Teleoptik for the 2013-14 season to gain first team experience.
After spending 2015-16 with Partizan as a first team player, he was signed by Serie A side Torino for around £1 million. It was here that he flourished as a box to box midfielder, making his full international debut in 2018 and eventually making over 150 league appearances.
Fulham (2023-present)[]
Saša signed for Fulham on 31 January 2023 for a fee of £8.8 million.
After a tricky start to his Fulham career, in which he was largely used as a late substitute or a stand-in during Cup matches, he came into form during the 2023-24 season whilst covering for the suspended João Palhinha in February 2024. During this run of starts, he scored his first goal for the club during a magnificent 3-0 win over Tottenham at Craven Cottage on 16 March 2024.
The departure of João Palhinha to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2024 meant that Saša was a regular first team starter under Marco Silva at the beginning of the 2024-25 season.
