Sone Aluko was a winger and forward who played for Fulham from 2016 until 2017. He was signed by Slaviša Jokanović in July 2016 from Hull City on a free transfer following his release from the club and is a Nigerian international. After a successful season with the Whites, he left to join Reading the following season.

Career

Fulham (2016-2017)

Sone was signed by Fulham several days after his release from Hull City on a free transfer in July 2016. He made an impressive start to his Fulham career with a fine display in his debut for the club, a 1-0 victory in the league opener of 2016-17 against Newcastle United. After a last minute penalty miss at the end of a 2-1 defeat at home to QPR, he scored his second Fulham goal a fortnight later in a 4-2 win away to Barnsley. After what was an outstanding man-of-the-match performance in a 5-0 thrashing off Huddersfield Town, Sone scored the following week and was equally impressive during the 2-0 victory away at West London rivals Brentford on 4 November 2016.

After what was a successful season for Fulham and Sone, he left the club at the beginning of the following season in August 2017 and signed for fellow Championship side Reading for a fee reported as £7.5 million.

After Fulham

Sone was unfortunate as his new team Reading struggled during the 2017-18 season, whereas Fulham enjoyed a fantastic run-in which concluded in promotion for them into the Premier League.

In February 2019, Sone travelled to China on a three month loan at Beijing Renhe.
