Stefan Johansen played for Fulham from 2016 until 2021 as a central midfielder. He was signed by Slaviša Jokanović in August 2016 from Scottish champions Celtic for £2 million. He has had a successful international career, having garnered nearly 40 youth caps for Norway, from U16 to U23 level, and 55 caps at full international level.

Career

Fulham (2016-2021)

Stefan's signature was confirmed by the club on 26 August 2016 for a reported fee of around £2 million. After a slow start, he quickly became a mainstay in the heart of Fulham's midfield and became part of the trio made up of Kevin McDonald and Tom Cairney, which helped make the Championship play-offs in both 2016-17 and 2017-18, with promotion to the Premier League coming in the latter.

Stefan struggled to get back into the side in 2018-19, following the big-money signings of Jean Michaël Seri & André Zambo Anguissa being preferred ahead of him. He went on a loan spell to West Bromwich Albion back in the Championsihp in January 2019 until the end of the season for more game time.

Upon returning, Fulham had been relegated back into the Championsip and Stefan slotted back into the first team, although saw slightly less game time than his initial first two seasons with the club. Manager Scott Parker began to play Stefan in a much deeper role than he had been playing under Slaviša Jokanović and would often be used off the substitutes' bench in many games during the 2019-20 season.

After another promotion back to the Premier League for 2020-21, and after some midfield-heavy transfer activity coming in, Stefan was not picked for the 25-man squad submitted to the Premier League and remained out of the first team until January 2021, when he was then loaned out to Queens Park Rangers for the remainder of the season in order to get first team football.

After Fulham

Stefan joined Queens Park Rangers permanantly on 24 July 2021 for £450,000 plus add-ons.
