Ted Turner was a full back, formerly of Fulham. He spent one season at Fulham, in 1903-04, where he was the first choice left back and frequently partnered Billy Orr in the defence. A solid defender who was naturally left-footed, Ted was affectionately known as 'Old Hookey' by the fans, a nickname adopted from the Duke of Wellington due to the shape of his nose.
