Tiago Casasola was a defender at Fulham from 2014 until 2015. A centre back, he joined with much promise was reported to have caught the eye of scouts at Barcelona amongst other big clubs before his switch to Craven Cottage. Yet to represent Argentina at full international level, he has played for them up to U20 level. Rumoured to be suffering with homesickness, things did not work out for Tiago and his contract was terminated by mutual consent only one year after his signature.

Career[]

Before Fulham[]

Fulham (2014-2015)[]

Amongst much speculation, Tiago's signature was officially confirmed on 22 August 2014 for a fee thought to be £880,000. Initially, he was not selected in any of the first team nor U21 squad's as it was rumoured the club were working on his fitness/physique. He eventually played his first match in a Fulham shirt on 8 December 2014 in the Premier League International Cup clash away to West Ham U21 in which he scored within minutes of coming on.

He only managed two appearances for the U21 squad and none for the first team. It was announced on 29 August 2015 that his contract had been terminated by mutual consent.

After Fulham[]

Tiago joined Roma on a free transfer in the days following his release from the club. Shorlty after, he was sent on loan to Serie B side Como for the duration of the 2015-16 season.
