Tim Hoogland is a defender who played at Fulham in the 2014-15 season. He would typically play as either a right back or a defensive midfielder and was signed in the summer of 2014 from Schalke by Felix Magath who had previously worked with him back in Germany. He suffered from injuries in his only season at Craven Cottage and was released in the close season.

Career[]

Before Fulham[]

Fulham (2014-2015)[]

Tim joined on 1 July 2014 on a free transfer, joining up with former manager Felix Magath once more. He got the nod over Kay Voser to start as right back for the first match of the season to make his debut against Ipswich Town and also scored in the 2-1 loss. He was one of the few players during Magath's reign that would stay in the starting XI week in week out, and proved a constant starter also under Kit Symons after the German's sacking. As well as his defensive game, Tim began to show he was also an attacking threat, as he scored a further three goals; one against Cardiff at home, an away goal against Birmingham and another at home to Bolton throughout the opening months of the campaign.

Shortly after, Tim was hit by injury and was out of action for the first team for 4 months, returning in a 2-0 victory over Derby County at the end of February 2015. He was among several others who were released by the club in the summer of 2015.
