Overview

The U18's 2021-22 season was overseen by new academy director Mike Cave, initially under the stewardship of Steve Wigley once again. Former director Huw Jennings stayed on with the new title of 'Head of Football Development'.

New scholars for the team were Michael Allen, Harvey Araujo, Caelan Avenall, Luke Harris, Delano-McCoy Splatt, Alfie McNally, Murphy Parker, Charlie Robinson & Terrell Works. Both Araujo & Harris had already spent a considerable amount of time with the U18 squad the previous season.

Steve Wigley took charge of the U23 squad from the end of September after previous U23's head coach Mark Pembridge left the club, which meant assistant Ali Melloul took charge of the U18's for the rest of the season.
