Zdeněk Grygera was a defender, formerly of Fulham. He was utilised as a right back, but was also able to play as a centre back. A reputable Czech international, Zdeněk's time at the club was unfortunately cut short after an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained just a couple of months into his Fulham career caused him to miss the rest of the 2011-12 season. His contract ran out in 2012 and he was formally released, though he continued to train with the club in order to earn himself a new deal. As it transpired, he retired in December 2012 due to his injury.
